教学内容:北师大版五年级下 Unit8 Time& Lesson4 Have a Try
教学目标:
1. The students can ask and state the time of the activities with the
sentence patterns “What time do you go to school? I go to school at
seven thirty.” by communicating with partners.
2. The students can get the main details from the activity planning and
the chart information.
3. They can make a schedule, so that they can arrange the time reasonably
and scientifically in their daily life.
教学重点、难点:
1. Help the students how to do a survey about what time do they do the
activities.
2. Help the students understand the passage better by the given reading
materials.
3. Help the students how to make a time table .
教学准备:
Multi-teaching DVD, PPT ,teaching cards and video about a survey.
教学过程:
Step1 Get ready
(1)Teacher plays the song “Welcome to New York” as the background music,
and have a free talk with the students.
(2)Ask, “What time is it now?” “It’s...It’s time to have our English
class. Welcome to Galina’s English Class. Class begins.”
(3)Ss sing a song, “Tick Tock”.
【设计意图】通过课前随意问答以及歌曲互动,消除了学生的紧张心理,活跃了
课堂气氛,以便他们快速进入英语课堂中来。
Step2 Competition
(1) Set four groups in the class.
T: You know, last lessons we have learned to express the time in English,
come on, children, please look at this clock, “What time is it?” Good,
it’s one o’clock. Look there are four clocks here, standing for four
groups in our class. Your group could walk one hour if you did a good job.
let’s have a competition today, which group walk the fastest will be the
winner. And everybody in your group will get my presents.
(2) Express the time quickly.
T: Come on, let’s come to the first round. “Express the time quickly”.
Show the times on the screen, let the students say out in English.
(3)Ss get ready for the competition.

体荣誉感,也有助于激发他们的学习积极性。
Step3 Listening
(1) Lead in---watch a video
T: Now, children, I’ll invite you to watch a video about my daughter,
after watching, please answer my questions, “What time does Sue go to
school? What time does she read books? What time does she have dinner?”
(2) Ss watch the video,then answer the questions.
【设计意图】VCR 吸引了孩子们的兴趣,作为导入,同时也是听力练习,巩固了
上节课的内容,也为下面的 Speaking 做铺垫。
Step 4 Speaking
(1) Teacher asks the students the above questions.
T: Great! Can you tell me “What time do you go to school? What time do
you read books? What time do you have dinner?”
Students: give their answers,using the sentences “I go to school/ read
books/ have dinner at ....”
Ss read the sentences on the blackboard together.
(2) Do a survey among the students.
T: Well, all of you did good jobs. And now let’s do a survey to get more
information from your partners what time they do these activities. Open
your books, turn to page 24, let’s go through the activities firstly.
Ss do a survey in their group.
(3) Show time.
T: Now, it’s your time to show.First I’ll ask some groups of you to ask
and answer, then I’ll invite some of you to report your survey.
Ss work in pairs and do a report.

中,最后的 show time 给学生提供展示机会,让孩子们获得学习的喜悦,获得
成就感,幸福感。
Step 5 Reading
(1) Pre-reading—talk abut the picture.
T: You’re great! Now let me introduce a girl named Lucy. Look, this is
Lucy. She is busy on Sunday. Let’s guess “What does she do on Sunday?”
from the given picture.
Ss may answer: She has music class. She goes to the library. She goes
shopping.
(2) Fast-reading—read the diary
T: Ok, let’s go through her schedule to get what she does on Sunday.
“Does she have music class? Does she go to the library? Does she go
shopping?”
(3) Careful-reading—finish the task
T: This time you should finish the task “true or false”. Please open
the books, turn to page 25, read the sentences firstly, and then find the
information in Lucy’s schedule to check if the sentences are true or false.
Ss finish the task.
(4) Check the answers for the Ss, they should be asked to find the details.
【设计意图】旨在培养学生的阅读技能,处理文本和图表等英文小短文的能力,
在阅读过程中渗透阅读方法的指导。
Step6 Writing
(1) Make a plan—write a time table
T: Well, just now, we knew that Lucy is very busy on Sunday. What about
you? What do you do on this Sunday? Let’s write a time table and make
a plan for this Sunday.I’ll show you my plan about this Sunday firstly.
There are some activities that may help you. Let’s read through them(play
sports, go to the library, have music class…). Now, let’s begin. If you
finished, you could share with your partners and speak out your plan.
Ss write their plan.
(2) Present the Ss’ work.
Ss share their work in the class.
