Have you ever heard of ads such as “Shortcuts in Mastering English” ,”A 24-Hour Programme of Success in Spoken English”,“Recipe for English fluency ? 4. What is your comment on these advertisements? II. Discourse Analysis Interactive Task 1:Figure out the structure of the passage by skimming and scanning. The Passage falls into Problem-Solution Patten Section 1: Problems English learners are faced with (Para A) Section 2: Advertisements for English learning (Para B) Section 3: Tips on/Possible solution to learning English (Paragraph 3-6) *Teacher: Help students find out the biggest problem they are faced with in learning English. *Students: By answering the questions, try to figure out the problem we face in learning English.
