Thoughts on Design
根据该板块的设计意图和功能,本课时的教学设计旨在激活学生与单元话题有关的已有知
识,引导学生联系自己的亲身经历进行相关话题的讨论,帮助学生为后面其它板块的学习积累
信息并同时进行词汇准备,调动学生继续学习本单元其它板块的积极性。学生的学习活动以听
说为主,学习内容包括:与现代科技及家用电子产品相关的词汇,与此话题相关的生活经历的
讨论和交流,对现代科技带来的变革如何全面认识,提升他们的批判性思维能力和对不同观点
的尊重与包容等。
Teaching Aims

Step 1 Warming up
Can you make a list of the electrical appliances and electronic devices you have at home?
electrical appliances: a machine, usually one that is electrical, that is used for doing jobs in the
home, such as washing clothes or cooking.
Most homes now have numerous electrical appliances, from dishwashers to microwave ovens.
electronic devices: a usually small piece of equipment, especially advanced electronic
equipment.
Some cars are fitted with a safety device which won’t let the car start unless passengers are
wearing seat belts.

此时表达观点的意愿和勇气比语言形式的正确性更为重要,所以即使学生在表述时有少量语言
错误也不必打断。教师可以利用重复或总结发言学生观点的机会巧妙地进行纠正。
