Task 2. One kind is aimed at promoting/ advertising some product mainly for the
benefit of one merchant. Even if an ad does not lie, it does not mean it is
altogether innocent. Therefore, we must not fall for this trick they play on us and
be fooled into buying some product. Not all ads play tricks on audience.

注意:
(1)even if “纵然,即使”,用来引导让步状语从句,可以用 even though
替换。
(2)even if/ though 所引导的从句常用一般现在时表将来,在主从句主语相
同时,也可采用省略句结构。

此句否定词 not 和 all 连用表示部分否定,而不是全部否定。
(1) not 可 以 与 both , all, ever, everyone, everything, everywhere, always,
altogether(全体), entirely(全部),wholly(全部)等连用表示部分否定,意
为“不都……; 并非都……”
(2) no, none, never, nothing, neither, no one, nobody, nowhere, no more, no
longer, no way 等与肯定式谓语连用,表示全部否定。
