Step 1.lead-in.
Look at the ppt . They are Chinese dishes.especially Beijing Duck and
Lanzhou noodles. Do you like them?
Step 2. New words.
learn to read the new words.
learn to use the key words.
① online adj.在线的，联网的
Eg.Jenny goes online to tell others about the food in China.
②especially adv.尤其，特别
Eg.Everything was great—especially the food
③end n.最后；末端
At the end of the street, there is a noodle house.
④hand-made adj.手工的
Lanzhou noodles are long hand-made noodles.
⑤treasure n. 宝物；财富 不可数名词.
Beijing Duck is really a Chinese treasure.
Step 3. Listen and answer.

Read again and fill in the blanks:

1.I just got back from a trip to the Silk Road in China.
get back from… 表示“从……回来”。
Eg.He gets back home from work at five every day.
他每天五点钟下班回家。
Eg.I got back from Hainan last week.
我上周从海南回来的。
2. It takes a lot of work, but the end product is worth it.
take 表示“花费，需要”，常用于 It takes/took sb.some time to do sth. 表
示“某人花费一些时间来做某事”。
Eg.It took him three hours to finish the exercise.
他完成这些习题用了三个小时。
worth“值得”,be worth + n.,“…… 值得……”
be worth doing sth.“某事值得被做”。
The coat is worth 100 yuan.
这个外套值 100 元。
The book is not worth reading.
这本书不值得读。
3. They look good and taste great!
look 系动词,意为“看上去”;
taste 系动词,意为“尝起来”。后接形容词作表语。
Your mother looks young.
taste 的常用短语
①link-v. 尝(起来)taste like+名词，尝起来像……
②n. 味道 have a taste 尝一尝
③taste adj. 味道好的，有味道的
④vt. 品尝 taste +n./pron.
Step 6. Activities.
Work in pairs. Talk about different dishes you know.
Step 7. Exercise.

Write a few sentences about “ My Favourite Dish”, and draw a picture
of or bring a photo of the dish.
