(2018·山东青岛市北期末)Shyness is a kind of fear. People who are shy always worry too much about what people think of them or embarrassing themselves in some way in front of others. How can we overcome shyness?
◆ Have a good posture(姿势)
The way a person holds themselves says a lot about that person. People with sloped(倾斜的) shoulders don't think of themselves as important. So stand up straight, shoulders back, keep your head up, and always make eyes contact(接触). By practicing a good posture, you will feel you have the ability to do things well.
◆ Increase your walking speed
You can tell if a person is confident(自信的) by the way the walk. People who walk in a slow way and looking at the ground while walking usually have no confidence in themselves. While people who have confidence in themselves walk faster. Exercise increases your energy in the body. That will put you in a more positive(积极的) state of mind. By having exercise, you will feel sure of yourself. Think about it; it is better to do some exercise than just looking at TV all day.

This can be anything that you really like doing like going to the theater, listening to music, traveling, helping someone out with a problem etc.

四、When in China, Do as the Chinese Do
As we know, China's eating culture is different from that in the West.
The meals we eat in China are not the same as the meals in the West. In China, we eat meals with chopsticks and spoons instead of knives and forks. If there is an old man with us while eating, we should invite him to sit down on the most important seat at first. It's also polite to offer him the best food. And we can't point at others with chopsticks.
What's more, there is a Chinese saying about eating habits, “Eat nice things for breakfast, eat a big meal for lunch, but eat less at dinner.” Don't you think so?
