What can I do for you? “我能为你作些什么？” 这句是省略句，原句应为：
What can I do for you sir? 与 Can I help you?或 May I help you? 意思一样。

buy sth. for sb.= buy sb. sth. 意思是“为某人买某物”。如：
She wants to buy some flowers for me.
= She wants to buy me some flowers. 她想给我买一些花。
