Unit Review 授课年级:初中一年级 授课题目:Unit 8 Unit Review 教案 Lesson Plan Introduction to the Topic Summer holiday is one of the students’ favourite topics. Students have finished learning the whole unit. During the class, the teacher will lead the students to go through each topic from this unit, which include Danny, Jenny, Li Ming and his classmates and Miss Liu’s plans for summer, activities like volunteering and baseball season. In the end the students can make a good and meaningful plan for their summer holiday. Information about the Students They are Grade 7 students from the Affiliated School of Baoding Normal. Students in this class are from the high leveled students in Grade 7. Teaching Objectives 1. Students can retell different students’ summer plan and talk about activities appeared in this unit. 2. Students can make a good and meaningful summer plan at the end of the class. Key Points & Difficult Points Key point: A) New concept: master the main phrases and structures of the unit B) Creation: Make good and meaningful summer plans for themselves Difficult point: Retell different students’ plans for summer and make a meaningful plan Materials: Unit8 unit review Teaching Aids: Pad, foreign teacher, media Teaching procedures Steps Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Purposes T Lead-in Feedback on homework Use pad to show four Ss’ homework which in different forms like recording, mindmap, photo and video. 1.Students introduce their homework in brief. 1.Let ss know different kinds of plans for summer and try to use different ways to do their work. 2’ Reviewing 1.Make a conclusion about the structures used in the plan. 1.Students think and speak out the structure. 1.Students can know and use the structure. 1’ Retelling plans 2.The teacher lead the students to have a review about Danny’s and Jenny’s plans about the summer holiday. 2.The students think about their plans and speak out the plans one by one. 1.To practice the ability of making a summary of the plan. 2.To find out the main structures of expressing the plan. 3’ 3.The teacher give the main structures of each student’s summer plan. 3. Students speak out each plan one by one. 3.To pracitce their retelling ability with the help of main structures. 4’ Practice Retelling activities 1. Further exercise of filling in the blanks with the main structures appeared in unit 8. 1.1.Ss do the exercise from Pad. The Ss check the answers, especially the wrong ones. 2.Practice and check of the learned language points in unit 8. 10’ 2.Listening exercise of Jerry’s plan for summer. 2.Ss listen to the exercise and know about more plan for summer holiday. 2.To practice Ss’ listening ability about the same topic-summer plan. 3. Other activities in summer from unit8, include volunteering and baseball season. 3. Students work in pairs and talk about the two activities, then make a presentation. 3.To practice their ability of making a summary with learned structures and cooperation. Foreign teacher & Chinese teacher 1.Use other pictures of activities in summer to make a warm-up. 2.Add up other factors of plans, like who are you going with and when will you go? 3.Do some half-mechenical dialogue. 4.Free talk about summer plan. 1.Let students to know more about the activities in summer. 2.Let the students consider more factors in their plans. 3.To make some practice. 4.Ss work in groups and talk about their summer plans with the former tips while learning. 20’ 2’Summary The teacher make a conclusion about the lesson and give some suggestions about their plans for summer. Homework 1.Necessary Better your plans for summer. 2.Optional Enjoy the movie Roman Holiday.
