三、教学过程
Ⅰ. Warming- up and revision
Ⅱ. Lead-in
Show Ss three pictures about different invitations. Ask them what kind of
the invitations they are. (wedding invitation, birthday invitation, ......)
Ⅲ. Reading
1. First reading
a) Ss scan the invitation in 3a and write the answer to the 6 questions
below.
b) Ask some Ss to show their answers.
2. Second reading
a) Ss read the invitation together. Then work in a group of 4 to discuss
the difficult points in this invitation.
b) Learn the difficult language points: reply, by, ……
3. Last reading
Ss look through the invitation carefully and find out the information
that should be included in an invitation.
Ⅳ. Exercise
1. Show a task on ppt, ask Ss to write an invitation.
2. Let Ss read the information that given.
3. Ss try to write an invitation using the information in the chart.
4. Read their invitations and check if there are mistakes.
5. Reply to this invitation. (accept the invitation or turn down the
invitation)
