To each question, ask students where they can find the answer. Ask students to read the body part of the text quickly and find the key sentences about story development. To make development order clear and keep it in students’ mind. Let the student learn the text step by step with the help of these question. Summarize each part of the story in several sentences and encourage the students to retell each part。 To know the order about the development of the story by scanning some key sentences and prepare for deep reading. Have the students know some details in the whole story and further understand how the story develops. Learn to summarize the main information of each part, and quickly memorize the useful language used to describe the story. Improve the students’ speaking ability. Post—task From this story, what can we learn from Phantom, Phantom’s mother, Christine, and Raoul? Group work: Three students make up a group and discuss this question. Through the group discussion and cooperation, let the students further know the character of these persons in the story by analyzing their behavior.
