1 Teaching Plan Summary writing ---Micro skills for polishing the language 一、教学设计指导思想 新高考改革背景下,基于英语学科核心素养的培养要求,按照单元整体教学要求,结合我校“设问、 讲练、探究”课堂教学要求,落实学科的知识和技能目标以及学科功能,通过英语教学,使学生在学习、 掌握和运用英语知识、技能的同时,培养学习兴趣,提高学习能力。 二、教学内容说明 本节课是概要写作专题课的第二课时。概要写作是在阅读的基础上,对于已阅读材料的高度浓缩,要 求学生用自己的语言表达文章主旨和重点内容。在第一课时中,教师已经对概要写作的特点和要求作了初 步介绍,重点对如何辨别(筛选)文章的主要信息进行了技巧上的指导。本课时在复习第一课时内容的基 础上,重点对概要写作中如何修饰语言进行微技能的指导,目的在于根据概要写作的基本要求和写作技巧, 进一步锻炼学生在把握文章主要信息的基础上恰当使用语言的能力,从而提高概要写作的水平。 三、学情分析 本课时授课对象为高二年级下学期文化平行班学生。班级氛围比较活跃,但学生英语基础一般,语言 能力不是很理想,对英语学习的自信心也不够,兴趣一般。对于概要写作,学生已经有了一定的知识积累。 但是,在教学实践过程中,教师发现学生普遍缺乏对已读材料有效的概括方法和灵活的分析能力,在写作时 不擅长使用自己的语言,只是停留在简单照抄原文的阶段。所以,针对这些问题,尤其是第二个问题,教 师决定进一步加强学生概要写作的能力训练。 四、教学重点和难点 围绕本节课的主要目标,本节课的教学重点是让学生通过技巧的分析和教师的示范,学会一些常用的 概要写作微技能;教学难点在于如何在写作实践中灵活运用相关技巧,从而提高概要写作的能力。 2 五、教案 Teaching objectives: By the end of the period, students are expected to a. have a general knowledge of writing a summary b. master some common skills for improving the language in summary writing; c. practice their ability to paraphrase the original writing and use their own words; Teaching aids: Multimedia, blackboard Teaching difficulties: Students learn some techniques to paraphrase their original writing which can help them to use their own words. Teaching procedures: Stages Teaching activities Learning activities Teaching purpose Lead-in 1. Ask Ss about the definition of “summary” 2. Ask Ss the requirements of a summary Ss answer the questions To foster Ss’ awareness of how to write a summary Pre-writing 1. Ask Ss to review some techniques for recognizing the main points Ss recall their techniques about recognizing the main points To remind Ss of the techniques for later use 2. Introduce some skills for paraphrasing sentences Ss try applying the skills with the help of the teacher To help Ss master some skills for paraphrasing sentences 3. Introduce the checklist To prepare SS for the following writing practice 3 4. Ask Ss some questions referring to the main information of an article Ss answer the questions and underline the key information on their worksheet To enable Ss to use the relevant transitional words and practice paraphrasing While-writing 1. Ask Ss to write a summary according to the given article by applying some of the skills learned in class Ss write the summary To help Ss practice the skills related to writing a summary Post-writing 1. Ask one student to share his or her summary sample and ask other students to make comments on it. Ss share and make comments To encourage Ss to express their opinions 2.
