Module 1 Happiness Unit 1 What is beauty ?
Reading --- Suffering to be beautiful
S2B Oxford
By the end of this period, students are expected to :
1. understand the general idea of the text by predicting, skimming, scanning and summarizing the
details.
2. learn some words on the topic of “beauty” through the context.
3. understand how to build up an opinion and supporting arguments.
4. have a critical thinking on “what is beauty?”.
Students are expected to find out people’s opinions and arguments.
1.Students are expected to guess the meaning of the words or expressions through the context.
2.Students are expected to express their preference on people’s views and give reasons.
在阅读之前,先让学生理解标题“suffering to be beautiful”中“suffering”
