Developing a story according to the given pictures
Duration: 40 minutes
Description:
The content of the lesson is selected from the speaking part of the textbook, but is adapted to integrate the
skills in picture-talking and story-writing. The whole lesson is designed on the theory of task-based approach.
In the lesson, the students are supposed to improve speaking ability by fulfilling the tasks of developing
different stories according to the given pictures. They will be aware of the tips on developing a story, and will be
involved in the interesting classroom activities to practise their spoken English (actually also beneficial to their
writing). They are also expected to develop their imagination and learn to cooperate with peers to complete a task
or improve a job.
