Teaching material analysis:
The theme of this unit mainly deals with the introduction of three tourist attractions which
are pretty famous all around the world. Hence, the students are equipped with the background
knowledge.
In terms of the feature of the text, it is a web page of the brief introduction of three tourist
attractions. As for the structure, the text clearly displays the basic information of the three tourist
attractions separately. When it comes to the content, the text provides us with basic information
of the tourist attraction, such as the history, the function and the culture, though they are not
detailed illustrated.
Learners’ background analysis:
Students can easily get the information given in the text, but they may have difficulty in get
to know the relevant culture and history.
