建国70周年国旗下讲话稿（英文版）We have always longed to see a reunified China, as this is reflected in the old ode Xiaquan shared by all our people in this country.  For a long time, the Communist Party of China makes it its mission to strive for people’s well-being and to achieve national rejuvenation.How can you treasure the brightness without being in darkness? How can you have a deep understanding of the importance of rejuvenation without suffering? In 1900, Eight Nation Alliance invaded China. In less than 100 years, our capital was occupied for three times. We Chinese people were suffering a lot. Because so many dedicated men sacrificed, now we have a strong and powerful country. With the Communist Party of China, our country has a new look. The founding of the Communist Party of China, the founding of the People's Republic of China, and the pursuit of reform and opening-up and socialism with Chinese characteristics were the milestones on the way toward great national rejuvenation in modern times. The Chinese People rose from desperation, which fundamentally changed the destiny of China.However, for the great national rejuvenation, it will take more than drum beating and gong clanging to get there. Now our country is faced with severe challenges.China's reform is still at a critical stage and in difficult situation. In terms of number, China’s enterprise tops the list of Global 500 while for the added value, most of them lie at the bottom of the Smiling Curve. The core technologies are in the control of other countries, the pollution is still severe and people’s need for better life is going on.Comrade Xi Jinping warned of growing complexity of risks and tests which can be unthinkably challenging. However nothing will affect us to achieve our Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation. Our nation underwent untold hardship and suffering. Now we have the courage to fight against any difficulty, the resolve of recovering the lost on the basis of self-reliance and most importantly the ability of rising up among the community of nations.However, this irresistible driving force comes from us, the younger generation who are vigorous, ambitious and shoulder the future of our country. Comrade Xi Jinping once put it the younger generation excels the older generation and the future of our country belongs to the them.How lucky we are to advance with the times. It is our mission to fight for our beloved country. Now, the After 80s generation work in different fields, the after 90s generation is becoming core staff and the generation after 2000 is stepping into senior high and campus. Each generation has his own mission. Our mission now is to achieve the two centenary goals and national rejuvenation.Dear fellow students, from now on, in the great times, let’s unite together to shoulder our responsibilities and strive to achieve our national rejuvenation with dream and passion.
