In the tiny village of Angelica, New York, the post office is more than a place to get mail or send packages. There you’ll find the heart of this lovely community. It’s where villagers meet and greet friends.
When Angelica’s post office was threatened with being closed in the 1980s，a villager，Pat, came up with a plan to save it. “At Christmas time I would hear on the news about towns named Snow or Bethlehem having celebrations,” says Pat, “Why couldn’t we do the same thing with Angelica?”
Pat, who is an artist，created a postal cancellation (邮戳) design featuring an Angelica angel.
She drew her angels in a traditional fashion and submitted her suggestion to the U.S. Postal Service. Once approved, the drawing was carved into a cancellation stamp that could be used for one day only. The postmistress (女邮局局长) then had another idea to make the day even more special calling the post office Angel Station.
The large increase in mail amount saved Angelica’s post office from being closed and keeps the doors open today.
Now it’s tradition that on the first Friday in December，people come to Angelica to mail their Christmas cards. Each year the amount of mail going through the Angelica Post Office increases during late November and early December. Stamp collectors from around the world have accepted the Angel Station cancellation, some sending mail from as far away as France.
Because the stamp is destroyed each season, Pat draws a new angel that conveys season’s greetings from Angel Station every year. Post offices may close in other parts of the country, but this tiny one continues.

Darrow had success in selling his games in various parts of the country.Several Philly area stores were the first to carry his game and sell it in large quantities.However, Darrow had difficulty selling his game to the major game producer of the time, Parker Brothers.He was told that his game was too complex and had fundamental errors in its design that would limit its appeal.Eventually, the continued sales he managed on his own forced Parker Brothers to reassess the worth of his game.In the end, the company agreed to produce the game and shortly afterwards it became the bestselling game in the country.
That success turned Charles Darrow into a millionaire, which is the heavy irony．Darrow initially began work on Monopoly to help support himself and his family following the financial troubles tied to the stock market crash of 1929.Thus, Charles Darrow became a millionaire by producing a game that allows “regular” people to feel like they are buying and selling real homes and land like millionaires.

Howling is a behavior commonly observed among a wolf nark. An animals, wolves work together to hunt and rely on howling was an important means of communication each other. There are different explants of a wolf’s howl and it appears that there may be more to discover.
One theory is that wolves howl to bend better together. It’s almost as if howling together helps the pack stay together. Harington, a professor who studies wolf behavior.

While waiting to pick up a friend at an airport in Portland, Oregon, I had one of those life changing experiences that you hear other people talk about—the kind that happens to you unexpectedly. To me, this happened and was only two feet away from me.
Locating my friend among the passengers, I noticed a man coming toward me carrying two light bags. He stopped right next to me to greet his family.
First he walked to his youngest son (maybe 6 years old) as he laid down his bags. They gave each other a long, loving hug. As they separated enough to look in each other's face, I heard the father say，“It's so good to see you, son. I missed you so much！” His son smiled somewhat shyly, and replied softly，“Me, too, Dad！”
Then the man stood up, gazed into the eyes of his oldest son (maybe 9 or 10) and while cupping his son's face in his hands said, “You're already quite a young man. I love you very much, Zach！” They too hugged a most loving, tender hug.
While this was happening, a baby girl (perhaps one or one and a half year old) was squirming (扭动) excitedly in her mother's arms, never once taking her little eyes off the wonderful sight of her returning father. The man said，“Hi, baby girl！” as he gently took the child from her mother. He quickly kissed her face all over and then held her close to his chest while rocking her from side to side.
