Section B 1a—3c ‎ 教师寄语: Whatever is worth doing is worth doing well. 任何值得做的事就值得把它做好!‎ 一、教学目标 :‎ 1. 知识目标:‎ 1) New words: cold, hot, canada, summer, juice, vacation, Europe, country, skate, snowy, rainy ‎ 重点短语:have a great time doing sth study English,some of right now sit by orange juice ‎ ‎2)Target language: ‎ ‎ 询问天气的句型:-How’s the weather in picture a? -It’s cold..‎ ‎ 现在进行时:-What are you doing? -I’m watching TV.‎ ‎ -What are they doing? -They’re studying.‎ ‎-What’s he doing? - He’s playing basketball.‎ ‎-What’s she doing? -She’s cooking.‎ ‎2.能力目标 ‎(1) 能运用how引导的询问天气的特殊疑问句询问天气,并作出回答。‎ ‎(2)能运用现在进行时进行提问和作答。‎ ‎(3) 能在日常生活中,适当运用此句型。‎ ‎3,情感目标:‎ 加深同学间互相了解,促进同学间友好相处,同时激发他们对学习英语的兴趣和热情,学问向别人如何询问天气。‎ 二、教学重难点:询问天气和现在进行时的句型 ‎(1). -How’s the weather in picture c ? -It’s hot and humid.‎ ‎ 同义句:What’s the weather like in picture c ?‎ ‎(2). -What are you doing? -I’m watching TV.‎ 三、易错点:how引导的询问天气的特殊疑问词和现在进行时的构成:be + doing ‎ 四、自主学习:‎ ‎_________ 下雨 _________有风的 _________ 晴朗的 ‎__________ 天气 _________烹饪;煮 ________学习 ‎ 五、教学过程:‎ Step 1. lead-in ‎ Show a picture in the screen and let all the students look at it carefully. Then the teacher ask some questions:‎ T: What is the man doing?‎ Ss: He is running.‎ T: Why is he raining?‎ Ss: Because it’s raining.‎ T: Yes, you are clever. Now we are going to talk about weather and learn how to descript the weather in this unit.‎ Step 2.Match work ‎ Ask the students to read the words and the picture, and match the names with the pictures a–e. ‎ Ask the students to do the match work and check answers. ‎ Answers: 1-d; 2-a; 3-de 4-b; 5-c Step3 Presentation 1) Show the key words on the screen and let all the students to read after me several times. Then make them try to recite them: dry,cold,cool,warm,hot 2) Target language:‎ ‎ -How’s the weather in picture b,c a,d,e ? ‎ - It’s hot ,cool ,cold ,warm.dry.‎ - ‎ ‎ Step 4 Pairwork 1.‎ ‎ 1)Practice asking to describe different weather in 1a. Then ask some pairs of them to act their conversations in front of the blackboard loudly.‎ ‎2)Talk about weather in pairs freely.‎ ‎ Imagine you are in some place, maybe it is a country or a city. Talk about the weather by using the target language below:‎ ‎ A: Hi! How’s the weather in Xiangchen.‎ ‎ B: It’s sunny.‎ ‎ A: Really?‎ ‎ B: It’s raining here in Suzhou.‎ ‎.Step 5. Listening ‎ ‎1)Do part 1c Listen carefully and fill in the blanks in 1c correctly. Then check answer Mary: How’s it going ? (Not bad) .What are you doing?visiting my aunt . How’s the weather?(hot,dry,andsunny). ‎ ‎2)Do part 2a Let students look at the picture a,b c and describ the weather .‎ Ask student what are the people doing ineach picture?‎ Do part 2b.‎ Listen to the materials and talk about what are the people doing in postcard a and postcard b?‎ Where is Mary? She is in Canada.What is she doing? She is visiting her aunt.How is the weather there? It’ warm and sunny.‎ Where is Dave? He is in the mountains. How is the weather there? It is cool and cloudy. What is he doing ? He and his family are on a vacation in the mountains .‎ Step 6. Pair work 2.‎ Now, practice the things we have learned in 2a and make a conversation like this A:What’s the weather like in the mountains ? ‎ B:It’ cool and cloudy.‎ Step 7. Writing.‎ 1) Ask four pairs of students to write their conversations about asking the weather on the blackboard and two to write the other conversations about pairwork 3b.‎ 2) Then check the answers and the teacher will make a summery about what we ‎ have learned today.‎ 教师点拨:‎ ‎1.-How’s the weather in the mountains? 山区的天气怎么样? ‎ ‎ -It’s cool and cloudy.凉爽 多云。‎ ‎(1).询问“······的天气怎么样?”时的句型:‎ A: How’s the weather?‎ B: It’s + (表示天气的)形容词.‎ Eg. -How’s the weather today? It’s cloudy/raining.‎ 同义句:What’s the weather like? (答语相同)‎ Eg. -How’s the weather? = What’s the weather like?‎ ‎ -It’s raining (正在下雨)./ It’s rainy (多雨的).‎ ‎(2).weather: “天气”,是不可数名词,前面不能用不定冠词a/an修饰。‎ Eg. What nice weather it is! 多么美好的天气啊!‎ ‎(3). 回答询问天气状况时用it指代“天气,气候”。此外,it还常用来指“时间,距离”等。应注意的是,it在句中有时不需要译成中文,可根据上下文去理解和翻译。例如:‎ ‎ It is cloudy today.今天多云。‎ ‎ What time is it now?现在几点了?‎ ‎(4).cloudy:形容词,“多云的”,它是由名词cloud加后缀-y构成的形容词。表示天气的这类单词还有:‎ sun 阳光——sunny晴朗的 rain—rainy多雨的 snow雪——snowy下雪的 wind风——windy多风的 ‎(5).表示天气的形容词还有:fine (晴朗的),dry (干燥的), cold (寒冷的), cool (凉爽的), humid (潮湿的), hot (炎热的)。例如:‎ ‎- How’s the weather today?‎ ‎- It’s fine/ dry/cold/cool/humid/hot.‎ ‎2.It’s raining.正在下雨。‎ (1) rain:动词,“下雨”。‎ It often rains in summer.夏天经常下雨。‎ (1) raining: 动词rain的动名词,“下雨”,强调现在发生的动作。‎ ‎ 如:It is raining in Beijing. 北京正在下雨。‎ rainy:动词rain的形容词,“下雨的,多雨的”。例如:‎ ‎ It is rainy in Hangzhou. 杭州多雨。‎ (2) 用heavy/light 表示雨的大或小;用strong修饰wind.‎ a heavy rain 一场大雨 a light rain 一场小雨 a strong wind 一阵大风 注意:It rains cats and dogs. 下着倾盆大雨。‎ ‎3.snow与rain的用法相同。‎ ‎4. What’s Uncle Joe doing? 乔叔叔在做什么?‎ ‎ Uncle Joe乔叔叔。注意英语和汉语的不同,英语中,称谓在前,名或姓在后。例如:‎ ‎ Aunt Sarah萨拉姨妈 Mr Smith 史密斯先生 ‎ Miss Zhao 赵小姐 Dr Wang 王博士 ‎5.She’s cooking. 她在做饭。‎ ‎ cook: 动词,“做饭,烹调”;名词“厨师;炊事员”‎ ‎ cooker: 名词,“厨具,炊具” ‎ ‎ My father cooks breakfast for us every day. 我爸爸每天给我们做早饭。(cook为动词)‎ ‎ He wants to be a cook. 他想成为一名厨师。(cook为名词)‎ 注意:cook是“厨师”的意思,而cooker是“厨具”的意思,这与第四单元学习的构词法不同,要注意区分。‎ ‎6. study: 动词,“学习”。‎ ‎ 动名词:studying;第三人称单数:studies。‎ 节节清练习: ‎ 一、根据句意及提示写出单词。‎ ‎1.
