Look back the content of Unit 6 in order to introduce the new topic : International charities .‎ T: Do you remember who needs our help ?‎ ‎ T: How can we help them ?‎ ‎ S: We must do something to help .We can donate money to them .‎ 2. T: Have you ever done anything for charities ? Were you happy to help charities ?‎ If they don’t anything ,encourage them to think of :‎ ‎ What will you do for a charity in the future ? ‎ Step 2 Presentation 1. Present the third picture and ask : What are Eddie and Hobo doing ?‎ Are they ready to help the charity ?‎ 2. Play tape for students and ask them to answer the questions .‎ 3. Ask them to read the dialogue and the following questions :‎ ‎(1)What is needed for charity ?‎ ‎(2)What does Hobo want Eddie to do ?‎ ‎(3)What does Eddie want to do first ?Why ?‎ ‎(4)How far will they go ?‎ Step 3 Practice ‎1.T : Listen to the tape and follow in chorus .Pay attention to your pronunciation and intonation .‎ ‎2. Divide the students into two groups . T : These two groups will read Eddie’s part and these two will read Hobo’s part .‎ l. Answer the questions .‎ S: People with ‎ Serious diseases,blind and deaf people ,children. ‎ Answer the questions .‎ ‎(1)More money is needed for charity .‎ ‎(2)He wants Eddie to donate his pocket money .‎ ‎(3)He wants to have lunch first because he is too weak to walk any further .‎ ‎(4)They only have five kilometers 2‎ Welcome to the unit Step 1 Presentation ‎ ‎1.T : If Hobo and Eddie want to help people from other countries , what charities should they donate money to ? ‎ What international charities do you know about ?‎ ‎2. Ask four students to introduce something about ‎ it .‎ Step 2 Practice ‎ ‎1 . Ask them to complete the exercises of part A .‎ ‎ T : What does the logo in Picture 1 stand for ?‎ ‎2.Talk with them : How does ORBIS help people ?‎ ‎ Would you like to do something for ORBIS ?‎ ‎ What charity would you like to work for ?‎ ‎ How does it help ?‎ ‎3 . Divide the students into two groups .‎ ‎ T:Do you know about these international charities ? Wok in pairs and discuss what you know about them .‎ Step 3 Presentation 1. T : Everybody has the equal rights to receive basic education .However , some children ,especially those from poor areas , can’t go to school like us .We should try to help them go back to school .‎ Write down : equal rights . basic education .especially.‎ 2. Play the tape and say : Mr Wu is asking the students about international charities .‎ ‎ Listen to the tape and tell me how UNICEF helps people .‎ 3. Read the conversation after the tape .Pay attention ‎ to your pronunciation and intonation .‎ Step 4 Homework ‎ 1. Revise the words and phrases in this part .‎ 2.
