设计说明
首先复习 Reading 中涉及到数字的部分内容,通过问题,导入到本节课
的语法项目——基数词和序数词。通过给学生展示生活知识引入数词,激发
学生的学习兴趣,在此基础上介绍基数词和序数词的构成和用法,并配以
相关练习,巩固所学知识。最后,通过当堂达标训练题目,检测学生的掌
握情况。
教学目标
通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标:
1.知识目标
掌握词汇:zero, hundred, thousand, million, foot, square, metre, area, over。
2.能力目标
(1)能正确运用基数词和序数词;
(2)能正确使用基数词表示号码、数量、尺寸、面积等;能正确使用序数
词表示日期、楼层、次序等。
3.情感目标
培养学生做事一丝不苟的态度。

Step 1 Warming up
1. Revise the content of Reading.
How far is Neil’s town from London?
How many rooms does Stephen have in his house?
2. Have a free talk.

3. Tell the students that the numbers include cardinal numbers and ordinal numbers.
Step 2 Presentation
1. Present the pictures of cardinal numbers in daily life.
2. Present the formation of cardinal numbers and explain some rules.
Rule 1 : 个位和十位之间要加连字符“-”。
Rule 2: 读三位或三位以上的数词时,要在十位前加“and”,如果十位为
0,则在个位前加“and”。

be +数词+square metre(s) in size = have an area of + 数词+square metre(s)
(3)France has an area of over 260,000 square miles.
over prep. 超过,与 more than 同义。
(4)There are about 8,000,000 people living in London.
There be...doing sth.有……正在做某事。
There is a bird singing in the tree.树上有只鸟在鸣叫。
(5)the capital of… ……的首都
Beijing is the capital of China.北京时中国的首都。
Step 4 Summary
Summerize the usage of cardinal numbers.
1.表示数量的多少。
There are fifty-two students in our class. 我们班有 52 名学生。
2.表示年龄、时间、价格、年代、顺序。
I am forty years old.我 40 岁了。
—What time is it? 几点了?
—It’s two to two. 差 2 分 2 点。
—How much are the apples? 苹果多少钱?
—They are ten yuan. 10 元钱。
I was born in 1973. 我出生于 1973 年。
基数词表示顺序时,由“单数名词+基数词”构成,此时名词和基数词的第一
个字母通常都大写。

注意:“单数名词+基数词”可以转换为“the +序数词+单数名词”,此时的

3.表示各种车牌、门牌和电话号码等。

4.表示数学运算。

【注意】hundred, thousand, million 与 billion 的用法
①当 hundred, thousand, million, billion 前面有具体数词时,后面不加-s,也
不与 of 连用;
②表示不确定的数目时,这些词后要加-s,且与 of 连用。
There are six hundred workers in this factory. 这个工厂有 600 名工人。
Thousands of visitors have come to Suzhou in the last two weeks.
在过去的两周中,成千上万名游客到苏州来。
Step 5 Presentation
1. We use ordinal numbers to order things and events. We use them to talk about
dates, floors, positions, etc.
Women’s Day is on the eighth of March.
Our flat is on the seventh floor.
He is always the first to come to school in our class.
Ask the students to read the sentences and pay attention to ordinal numbers.
2. Millie is doing a test on numbers. Look at the numbers below and help her
write the numbers out in words.

基变序,有规律,结尾字母是 th。
一、二、三,特殊记,结尾字母 t,d,d;
八去 t, 九去 e,
ve 要用 f 替;
逢十改 y 为 ie,
几十几,也好记,只变个位就可以。

1. 序数词主要用作定语,前面要加定冠词。

2. 序数词前面有时可加不定冠词来表示“再一”“又一”的意思。
May I have a third try? 我可以再试一次吗?
3. 表示分数时,分子用基数词表示,分母用序数词表示。分子大于 1 时,
分母加“-s”。

4. 起副词作用,前无“the”。
