It’s  about the date and festivals.The Grade 6 students have already learned the knowledge  about date before.They can use the the sentence patterns “When is ...? It’s on ...”to ask and answer.And the students already know some culture about different festivals in different countries.【Analysis of the Students】1.Based on listening :Most students are able to understand the conversation  with the help of pictures and the questions.But a small group of them can not ,because they are not good at grasping the key information.2.Based on speaking: Most of the students are able to answer the simple questions with the help of some pictures and key information,but it is not easy for some of them to understand the new words and new means of expression.3.Based on reading :Some students can understand the conversation with the help of pictures and develop a habit of reading in correct sense groups but it is a little difficult for some of them who can not divide sense groups correctly.4.Based on emotion and attitude:As primary school students,most of them are quite interested in listening English,speaking English,singing English songs,playing games,etc.But a small group of them are not interested in those various means of English learning.【Learning Objectives】1.By the end of this lesson ,the students should be able to understand the conversation and be able to read the conversation correctly,fluently and emotionally.2.By the end of this lesson ,the students should be able to use the sentence patterns “When is ...?
