Hello, dear students from No.1 Middle school!
My name is Jessie. Today I’d like to share an old
Chinese story Lord Ye’s Love of Dragons with you.
Once upon a time, there was person called Lord Ye. He
liked dragons very much. There were pictures of dragons all
over his room. Lord Ye always said to others, “I love
dragons best.”
When the real dragon in heaven(天堂) heard of this, he
felt very happy. “Lord Ye loves dragons so much. I should visit him
and say thanks to him,” said the real dragon. The dragon flew to
Lord Ye’s house. He put his head into Lord Ye’s window and
shouted, “Lord Ye, are you in?”
The dragon thought Lord Ye would be very happy to see a
real dragon. But, no! To his surprise(惊讶), Lord Ye was very
afraid. He just ran away as fast as a rabbit.
From then on, people knew that Lord Ye only loved the
dragons in the pictures, but not real dragons.

Good afternoon, everyone. I’m Li Hua. It’s my great
honor to share my favourite story—Goldilocks and the
Three Bears.
Once upon a time, there was a girl called Goldilocks.
She often went for a walk in the forest alone. One day,
she was lost. She looked around and noticed a
little house. She knocked on the door but nobody
answered it, so she pushed the door. She walked into the
room and there were three bowls with delicious food in
them. She finished all the food in the small bowl. And
she walked into the bedroom and fell asleep on the small
bed. Then the Three Bears returned and found
Goldilocks. Goldilocks jumped out of the bed and
hurried out of the house at last.
