知识点 2.When is your birthday?
(1).when 是特殊疑问副词,意为__________,用来引导特殊疑问句,询问时间。
When is 无缩写形式。如:
When do you go to school? 你什么时候去上学?
When are you at home?你什么时候在家?
【辨析】 when 与 what time
两者都可以用来提问时间。在询问较笼统的时间时通常用 when,而在询问钟点
时用 what time 更加确切。如:

date 名词,意为“日期”。
Eg: ---What’s the date today? 今天是几月几日?
--- It’s November 15th, 2011. 今天是 2011 年 11 月 15 日。
注意:年,月,日的表示:月、日、年:2011 年 11 月 15 日 November 15th, 2011
知识点 5. Happy birthday! 生日快乐!
Happy 形容词,意为“幸福的,愉快的,高兴的”,否定形式 unhappy 意为“不
高兴的,不幸福的”。

知识点 6. How old are you? 你多大了?
how old 意为 多大年纪,几岁,是用来提问年龄的。其中 old 为形容词,指年
龄,意为 ……岁的。问年龄:How old + be + 主语?
How old are you? 也可以表达为 What’s your age? 其中 age 为名词,意为“年龄,
年纪,年岁”。
回答上面的问句时,可用“be+基数词(years old)或 be+基数词 (+years of age)
She is 7 years old..=She is a 7-year-old girl.
-How old is she?-----She is ten (years old)/ ten (years of age).
-----What’s your age? -----I’m eleven years of age.
