（一）could 的用法
could 是情态动词 can 的过去式，在句中不能单独做谓语，后面必须跟其他动词原形才
能做谓语。它在句中通常有两种作用。
1、 表示能力，意为“能、会”，此时必须与过去时间状语连用。 （1）
I could ride a bike at the age of eight.
2、表示许可或请求，常用来请求别人做某事或自己做某事要征求别人的许可。此时 could
不是 can 的过去式，而是使语气更委婉。
Could I use your pen?
----Yes, sure. / ----Sorry, you can’ t.
(二)辨析 can 与 could
can 与 could 都是情态动词，could 是 can 的过去式，二者后面都要接动词原形。
二者都可以表示能力，相当于 be able to。 此时，can 与现在的时间状语连用，could
与过去的时间状语连用。
二者都可以表示请求或许可，但 could 比 can 语气更委婉，回答都用 can。
Can/ Could you help me? Yes, I can. / No, I can’t.
(三)表示委婉的提出请求及被永许做某事的句型
Could you please+ do sth?
Could you + do sth?
Would you please+ do sth?
Would you + do sth?
肯定回答常用 Sure./ Certainly. / Of course/ With pleasure/ All right./ No problem./ I’d love
to.等，
否定回答用 I’m afraid not,/ Certainly not. /Sorry, I( you )can’t /I’d love to but I …, 并说明
原因。
与 take 有关的短语;
take out 取出（代词做宾语时，放在两词中间）或把某人带出去
take off 脱下，（飞机）起飞 take away 拿走，取走
take …to…把……带到….. take sb. for a walk 带某人去散步
take one’s time 不急，慢慢干 take exercise 运动，锻炼
take a bus(ship/ train…) 乘公共汽车（轮船/火车…）
