Step1 Revision
Ask some Yes\No questions about the text.
Do you play badminton at school?
Do you have a good time at school?
Do you like music?
Is she a student of Class one?
Can Millie play badminton?
May I borrow your book?
Step2 Presentation
Get Ss to make sentences according to these
questions. Write down these questions on the
board. Ask Ss to read them quietly and check
if they understand them. Then read the
questions ,emphasizing the rising voice at
the end of each question. Ask Ss to repeat
each question as they hear it.
Can you hear me? Do you understand? Can
you say it again? Can you spell it? Is this
correct? Are you sure? Can we go out? May
I take Eddie? Can we go to the Space
Museum? May I leave he room? May I go
home? Is it lunchtime now? Can you sit
down?
Step 3 Practice
Ss read the sentences of Part A1 on page 33
after the tape.
Ss read the sentences themselves.
Ss answer the
teacher’s
questions and pay
attention to the
intonation.
Ss listen to the
teacher, repeat the
sentences.
Step4 presentation
Revise the following symbols: [p] [f] [t]
[Ө][k],then help Ss find some words ending
with these symbols then add (e)s to these
words .and teach Ss to read [s].
Teach [z] and [iz] in the same way.
Step5 practice
Ask Ss to listen to the different (e)s
endings.Then ask them to repeat the words,
paying attention to the different
pronunciations. Do Part B1.
Step6 Listen and learn
1. Ss listen to the tape and pay attention to
the (e)s endings.
2. write down the pronunciations when
listening to the tape.
Step7 Read
Ss read these words loudly.
Step 8 Homework
