Step one greetings
Step two Presentation
In summer holidays , did you have a
good time? Did you visit any places?
Mrs Ling visited Yan Cheng Zoo. Look!
Here is the ticket. Look at this ticket.
This is the name of the place. Where is
Yan Cheng Zoo?Look here! The location
is __________ And this is the price for
adults. It is open from 9 am to 5 pm. I
think it is a good place for you because it
is very interesting and we can learn more
about animals. Would you like to
organize a class trip to visit it?
Step three Practice
Get Ss to find out more information with
seeing their tickets. Then use the new words
and phrases to tell his /her classmates.
Ss look at the
pictures.
Listen to the
teacher and learn
some new words
and phrases.
Ss practice with
the new phrases.
Step four Presentation
Show Ss three posters. Ask Ss to practise
like this:
A: What’s the name of the place? B:

A: How much does the ticket cost? B:
The price for______ is______ yuan.
A: When is it open?
B: It’s open from______ to _____.
Step five:Ask one or more Ss to find out
more information about each of the three
places.
Step six: spend a little time talking about
outing in Beijing or other places in
China.(Ask Ss to bring some places to
school & put them on the wall.)
Step seven: Discussion
Millie’s class will have a trip next
Monday. Mr Wu wants the students to
decide where to go. Read his note to
Millie and look at the posters again.
Then discuss in groups of four to help
Millie complete the table in A2 on
page32.
Step eight: Listening
Play the recorder & ask Ss to listen for
the opening house to complete the table.
Step nien: Ask Ss to check answers in
pairs , then check answers as a class.
Step ten: Give help & informations if Ss
have problems. Play the recorder again if
necessary.
Step eleven: Help Millie uses the
information in PartA2 to complete her
Ss read the posters
carefully and
make a short
dialogue
Ss get more
information.
Ss discuss and
use the
information on
the posters to
complete the
first four
columns of the
table in Part A2.
Ss listen and
finish the table.
Check answers.

Step twelve: Refer Ss to read A4 and
then ask some questions: Where would
they like to go? What is the price for
each student? How long is it open?

you think of your class? Can you tell me
something about your school?
What are your favorite lessons? What are
your favorite activities?
Step fifteen: listening
Here is a conversation between Millie
and her friend Tommy. Please listen to
the tape and tell me what they are talking
Step sixteen Practice
Ss read after the tape then they read the
dialogues themselves with the following
questions:
When does Millie do morning exercises?
What are Millie’s favorite lessons? What
subject is Tommy not good at? What
does Millie think Tommy should do?
Step seventeen Practice
Get Ss to act the dialogue out in front of
the class, then ask them to make up their
own dialogues.
