Step 1: Warm-up
T: Hello, boys and girls.
Ss: Hello, teacher.
T:Nice to meet you.
Ss: Nice to meet you,too.
T:How are you?
Ss: I’m fine. Thank you.
T: Let’s review together. Who can answer my question?
T: Is your mother tall? Ss: Yes. She is very tall.
Is your mother beautiful? Yes. My mother is beautiful.
Is your father short? No. My father is short.
Is your father great? Yes, My father is great.
Step 2:Presentation
1.Let’s learn Unit5 My father is great.
2.Before learning new knowledge. Let’s learn to sing a song. My father is a doctor.
用大屏幕出示歌词,并放音乐。
3.出示 PPT,介绍说:Billy and Linda are talking about their fathers.
Billy say: My father is great. He knows many things!
Linda say: What’s his job?
Billy say: He’s a teacher.
反复读 teacher,并板书到黑板。
同时,将重点句子 What’s his job?
He’s a teacher.
板书到黑板,重点强调句子的书写。
3. T: What’s my job? Ss: You are an English teacher.
T: What about you?What’s your job? Ss: I’m a pupil.
T: Yes, you are all pupils.
出示 PPT,介绍 Xiao Hui’s brother is a pupil. 引出 pupil 单词。并对其听说读写。
(句子接龙游戏)
T: Let’s play a game, ok? Ss: OK!
师举例说:I’m a tall teacher. And you? 引导学生说: I’m a tall pupil.
依次练习。
4.出示 PPT,介绍 Linda’s father knows many places, and he works in a car.
引导同学自主提出问题,并自主回答本单元重点句型。What’s his job? He’s a driver.
同时对 driver 进行听说读写练习。
根据汽车的特点,引导学生了解 taxi driver(di,di,di) bus driver(wen,wen,wen)
5.创设情境,作出生病的样子,说:I have a headache .I need to see a doctor. Who is
doctor?
出示 PPT, 学生回答:Peter’s mother.
引导同学自主提出问题,并自主回答本单元重点句型。What’s her job? She’s a doctor.
同时对 doctor 进行听说读写练习。
6.出示 PPT.通过介绍 Anne’s mother. 引导同学自主提出问题,并自主回答本单元重点句型。
What’s her job? She’s a nurse. 同时对 nurse 进行听说读写练习。
7.播放 Listens and say. 部分内容。同学们看图复述课文。(听,跟读,齐读,分角色读)
Step 3: Practice
做动作猜职业游戏。
游戏规则:一名同学到前面面向同学,老师站在该同学身后,出示职业图片,其他同学做与
该职业相关的动作。并齐问:What’s his/her job? 该同学猜,并说:He/She is a ……
Step 4: Consolidation

Step6: Homework
