《英语(牛津上海版)》高中二年级第二学期---上海教育出版社 Unit 5 Living in harmony Reading: Green Orchids 设计者 【教材分析】 这篇课文是一则关于环境问题的故事。 1. 文本特征 本文是一则故事。文中配有关于故事发生场景和人物的配图,有对话。 2. 文本特点 1)从文本的语言来看,文章语言难度适中,但含有较多如 growl, flash, command 等关于生 动的动词。文中所使用句式较为清晰可辨。时态为过去时用于描述故事情节。 2)从文本的结构来看,文章结构简单,按照时间顺序展开。 3)从文本的内容来看,本文由人物间的对话构成并由此体现人物性格。 3. 阅读策略 在文本阅读过程中,使用找读、详读、归纳总结、读前设问等方式对文本进行理解和学习。 4. 学情分析 1)经过高二第一学期的英语学习,学生已经掌握了略读、找读等阅读技巧以及识别关键词、 确定主题句、预测等阅读技能,形成了初步的阅读策略。 3)此时的学生已经完全适应高中阅读教学,但是运用英语进行交际活动的能力有待提高, 具体教学过程中教师应在互动会话的教学环节中鼓励学生交流。 5. 阅读教学的重点与难点 1)教师需要引导学生按照文本特征初步了解文本结构与大致内容。 2)教师需教会学生体会文中语言使用,挖掘单词的深层次含义。 3)教师培养学生借助提问完成文章阅读。 【教学目标】 By the end of the class, the students will be able to 1. understand what the story is about and what the story wants to convey. 2. know about the personality of the main character through details such as actions and dialogues. 3. get a deeper understanding of the correlation between choices and consequences. 【教学步骤】 Steps Teacher’s Activity Students’Activity Purpose Pre-Reading Ask Ss to guess what the story is about. Guess what the story is about. To arouse students’ interest and curiosity to read. While- Reading Have students review what make a story. To get students to know about the story on the face level. Encourage students to make inferences about main character’s personality through details.
