1 Unit 4 Friend or enemy? Teaching aims: Knowledge: To have a general idea of the passage Ability: To train students the ability to do skimming and scanning and express their ideas orally. Emotion: To make students understand spiders are useful animals and try to understand things in nature. Teaching focus: To make students understand the three useful parts of spiders Teaching difficulty: Students have difficulty in expressing opinions orally. Teaching procedure The first period Tasks Teacher’s activity Students’ activity Pre-reading Show several riddles and make students understand spiders are not insects. Try to think and guess “ what it is” While-reading Ask students to skim the first ten lines and answer some questions. Skim the first part and finish some question. Divide the passage into three parts according to the three advantages of spiders and ask students to read them carefully. Scan the passage carefully and try to finish the exercise on the worksheet. Divide the class into several groups each having three or four students and discuss and make a speech about spider. Choose one or two advantages to make a speech. Post -reading Show a small poem and ask student to read it aloud. Make them understand spiders are our friend. Enjoy the poem and try to understand the meaning of the poem. Homework 1. Reflection: Date 2 教学设计说明: 一,教材分析: 本课是牛津教材第二学期第二单元第四课的 Reading, 本单元式介绍自然世界中的动物和 植物,本课以蜘蛛为主题,让学生能了解自然界中虽不起眼却相当重要的一个生物,改变学 生一贯对蜘蛛的厌恶,能正确的认识大自然中的生物。 二,学生分析: 地处上海偏远郊区的一所普通中学,学生的基础相对较差,词汇量积累少,口语表达尤为薄 弱,大多数学生学习缺乏主动,并不出于自身的需要去学习,仅仅为了应付老师和家长。 三,教学目标: 1. 知识与能力: 通过学习,让学生能了解文章的大概内容,了解蜘蛛在哪三个方面起着不可代替的作用,并 能掌握本课的核心重点词汇的语音和含义,最后训练其语言组织的能力。 2. 过程与方法: 学生能通过联系语境猜测词意,能通过阅读课文找到相关答案,能通过若干提示,回忆课文 重点内容,能通过核心词,连词成句,达到一定得输出。 3. 情感与价值观 学生通过语篇的阅读,老师的诱导,能一步步扭转对蜘蛛的印象,能渐渐的得出,蜘蛛是人 类的朋友而非敌人这一概念。 四,教学重点与难点: 本课的教学重点,在于让学生在有限的时间内通过阅读了解文章的大意,并在最后有一个产 出。而难点就在于,是否能做到让大多数的同学都达到这一目标。 五, 教学用具 多媒体 3
