Helping the Environment
(Unit 5, More Reading S2B Oxford English)
1. 教学内容介绍：
这部分作为本单元的补充材料，在引导学生对文章进行整体理解扩展词汇量
的同时，让学生了解我们所生活着的地球所面临的臭氧层破坏问题以及问题形成
的原因，意识到人类的生存环境日益恶化，并培养学生的环境保护意识，认识到
整个生态环境对人类生存的重要性，从实际生活出发，讨论我们该如何做才能拯
救我们的环境。
2. 教学设计：
本课的任务有两个：
1）对课文进行整体阅读，扩大学生的相关词汇量。
2）课文中包含的德育思想。培养学生的环境保护意识，认识到整个生态环境对
人类生存的重要性。
教学步骤：
首先，在进入阅读文本前由三个学生代表讲述我们所面临的各种环境污染，
扩大学生的视野。在学生阅读课文前，教师可解释一些相关词汇，帮助学生扫清
理解障碍，用简洁的英语做解释，并借助图示解释臭氧层的概念，理解臭氧层的
作用，并展示南极上空所拍摄到的最大的臭氧层洞的卫星图片，讨论由此引发的
对人类的伤害，引出相关词汇，扩大词汇量。
在这些步骤铺垫的基础上，教师再有条不紊的展开并带领学生对文本进行深
入的解读。鉴于话题相对熟悉，文本也比较简单，所以课堂的后三分之一将安排
教师引导下相关话题的讨论。接着，介绍世界环境日，提升学生的环保意识，选
取几年世界环境日的口号，从中更深切地认识到地球是我们唯一的家园，保护她
是我们每个人的责任。

4)scan the whole passage and answer questions
