Lesson3 Where is the Eiffel Tower?
一、教学目标:
1.熟练掌握本课表示国名和各国标志性建筑物、地名的名称。
2.了解其他国名及各国标志性建筑物、地名的名称，拓宽学生的知识
面，增强对世界文化的求知欲。
3.进一步学习辨认物体的句型“Is this /that/ it...?”和询问它在哪里的
句型“Where is ?”等。
4.帮助学生了解国内名胜、景点，以及对家乡风景的再现，感受祖国
大好河山的美丽，从而培养学生对祖国、对家乡的热爱之情，
5.初步培养学生的写作能力。提高同学之间的互助合作性。
二、教学重点、难点:
1.学习并熟练掌握本课所学的国名及各国标志性建筑物、地名的名称，
要求发音准确。
2.能熟练运用“Is it …?”并根据实情做回答“Yes , it is. /No, it isn’t.”
以及“Where is ?”“It’s in…”的运用。
3.能在教师的的指导下完成写作任务，和同学合作完成影集书的制作。
三、教学过程：
Step1 greetings.
Step2 revision and lead-in.
T:Rose has traveled( 旅 游 ） many beautiful places, she has so many
beautiful pictures. From last lesson, we knew that the first place was the
Eiffel Tower.
T: Would you like to know the other pictures?
Ss: Yes.
通过一段视频了解课文中涉及到的各国标志性建筑、景点及相应的国
名，帮助学生迅速进入良好的语言环境中，初步感受世界各地标志性
建筑和景点。
老师在学生观看的过程中适时介绍，帮助学生初步记忆。
Step3 presentation.
1、观看视频后，及时学习本课涉及到的各国标志性建筑、景点：the
Eiffel Tower ,Mount Fuji, the White House ,Big Ben, the Great Wall.以
及国名 France, Japan, the USA, the UK 等。
T: What’s this in English?
S1: It’s Mount Fuji.
T: It’s in …? You please.
S2: Japan.
T: That’s right. Follow me, Japan.
同理教其他词汇。
2、在词汇学习的基础上，采用 Let's guess 活动继续学习本课的句型。
“Is it …?”并根据实情做回答“Yes , it is. /No, it isn’t.”以及“Where
is ?”“It’s in… 并拓展 the USA/America，以及 the UK/ Britain/England。
利用 PPT 只展示图片的某一部分,让学生预测可能是什么.老师对学生
的预测做出判断,直到猜对为止。
S1: Is it the Eiffel Tower?
T: No, it isn’t.
S1: Is it Big Ben?
T: Yes , it is. Your answer is right.
T: Where is it? Do you know?
S2: Let me try. It’s in the UK.
T: Yes ,we can also say“it’s in Britain/England. ”
3、认识、了解世界各国比较著名的标志性建筑以及各国国名。
① 认识国旗。
T:Let’s know these national flags.
PPT 呈现各国的国旗，融入 Egypt、埃及 Greece 希腊、India 印度等新
词。
②完成任务题单。
T: Boys and girls, please take out your work papers. Match the places and
the flags.
③在完成任务清单的基础上观察 PPT 图片，说出对应的国名。
T: Where is…?
S1: Let me try. It’s in 埃及。
T: Yes. Follow me，“It’s in Egypt.”
Ss: It’s in Egypt.
S2: No.2 is in Greece .
T: You are so smart.
S3: Let me try.No.3 is in Britain .
......
④进一步认知世界各国比较著名的标志性建筑。

Mount Fuji, Liberty Enlightening the World ,Parthenon, Leaning Tower of
Pisa。
Step4 Enjoy a video.
T: Everyone, there are so many beautiful places around the world. And in
China, there are many wonderful places. Let’s enjoy a video.
PPT 播放中国著名建筑或者景点，让学生感受祖国的大好河山。
T: Do you think they are great?
Ss: Yes.
T:So China is beautiful. China is great.
T/Ss: I love China.
Step5 Practice and write.
①老师出示自己的影集书,选其中一张照片,给学生示范写作.
②ppt 展示家乡的风景：
Guangwu Mountain ,Nuoshui River, Wangwang Mountain, Nankan Park,
Huacheng Lake , The old Enyang city
③Work in groups.
组长发给组员事先领取的照片，选自己喜欢的照片写作，组内完成影
集书的制作。
组员上来展示并介绍自己的作品。
Step6 Summary.
